The consolidated sales revenue in the LCD sector from the 4 major Taiwan panel makers reached NTD 79.49 billion, a 4.8% decrease MOM and also an increase of 2.05% during the same period of last year. The large-sized panel shipments in January were down by 3.3% to 22.51 million units; compared to last year, the figure rose by 14.1%.
Taiwan Sales performance
In January, Taiwan’s 4 major panel makers’ consolidated revenue down by 4.9% compared to December. AUO decreased by 1.4% to 30.19 billion, CMI down by 9.8% to 40.36 billion, CPT increased 5.4% to 5.53 billion, and HSD up by 13.1% to 3.8 billion.
Taiwan Shipment
Shipment-wise, large size panel shipment in January posted decreased; Only CMI posted decreased, down by 10.8% MOM to 10.75 million. AUO, HSD and CPT were posted increased, up by 3.3%, 8.5% and 19.7% MOM to 9.46 million, 1.78 million and 517 thousand units respectively. In terms of small and medium size panel shipments, AUO, CMI, and CPT were posted declined, down by 15%, 14.2%, and 7.3% MOM to 14.5 million, 34.43 million, 34.24 million respectively. Only HSD posted increased 8.3% MOM to 25 million.
